Veteran automaker Maruti Suzuki India is ready to introduce the fifth generation of its hatchback Swift in the Japanese market this year. According to a recent report in Japanese media, the company will world premiere the Swift hatchback by the end of this year.

Swift’s Sportier variant Swift Sport will be launched in its completely new avatar in the year 2024. The next-generation Swift car is expected to arrive in India in Starting of next year, possibly in February 2024. At present time in the Company company has no plans to introduce the Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport in India.

One of the standout improvements in the upcoming Swift is going to be its engine. According to reports in the media, the new Swift is set to receive a boost from Toyota’s Robust Hybrid technology. This means that the car will likely feature a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine using something called the Atkinson cycle. But here’s the interesting part: in the highest-end variant, there might even be a more powerful hybrid engine option available. This upgrade promises a greener and more efficient driving experience for Swift enthusiasts.

The upcoming Swift will be the highest-mileage Hatchback car in the country. Its mileage will be around 35-40 km Per Liter. Additionally, Swift’s new strong hybrid powertrain will meet CAFÉ II (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards.
